Working as a visiting researcher with a focus on developing educational resources and tools for the digitisation of low-resource languages, particularly with an emphasis on diachronic (historical) Urdu data. My work explores the intersection of language technology, digital preservation, and applied AI, aiming to build course content and tools that address the challenges of underrepresented linguistic data in digital form. Key focus areas include: • Designing a course on digitisation workflows for low-resource languages. • Exploring OCR, transcription, and annotation tools tailored for older Urdu scripts. • Investigating methods for preserving and processing historical textual data. • Collaborating with researchers working on language resources and digital corpora in multilingual and historical contexts. This research is supported through collaboration between CLE and the University of Konstanz.
