FAQ
What format should I send the files in?
16 bit or 24 bit WAV files (mono/stereo) would be the best (up to 96khz). AIFF files work, and I can work with mp3's too although it's not ideal. Please make sure there is a few dB's of headroom with no clipping.
Which AD/DA converter do you use to handle the transfer?
Since I'm now working with a 2-track tape machine, I'm mainly using my Universal Audio Apollo Twin MkII for this gig. The unit is clean and transparent sounding which fits the purpose of tape transfer without colouring the sound too much. Occasionally I would have access to Burl ADDA converters.
