19 years commissioning production-line equipment and building the software behind it. I started on the shop floor with inkjet coders, label applicators and thermal printers, and moved into software: device drivers, label layout engines and data-driven printing. I integrate equipment over TCP/IP and serial (RS-232 / RS-485) using vendor protocols, and work with CIJ inkjet printers, laser markers, label applicators, thermal transfer printers and weighing scales from major international brands. I implement ZPL and TSPL print languages and connect the PC side to databases, files and upstream business systems. Most of my work sits inside manufacturing operations. I have delivered production traceability (TTS) systems that follow a product from its first label to final shipment, vision inspection systems on the line, and barcode scanning systems for warehouse inbound, outbound and stock movement. They run inside wider smart factory programmes, where every station reports into one data layer instead of standing alone. I also architected and built a production label printing platform that runs on live manufacturing lines, covering multi-device management, WYSIWYG label layout and external variable mapping.
