Voice Over Artist

I absolutely love working as a voice over. I suppose it began as a kid, imitating voices from movies I resonated with, then taking on small creative projects for a local radio station, and gradually building up a tremendous repertoire of fun, quirky and highly marketable voices It's a creative process which I relish from start to finish and I feel so privileged to continue to work with wonderful people on a fantastic range of animations, games, ads UGC and audiobooks.
Co-Director and Producer for Summer Light Theatre
May 2010 - Present • 16 yrs 5 mos
I co-run a touring theatre company and have produced over 27 plays adapted from classic novels, such as 'Crime and Punishment,' 'The Brothers Karamazov,' 'A Doll's House,' 'Far From the Madding Crowd.' etc. It's a hugely collaborative, creative process from start to finish. Summer Light Theatre also produces indie films, and we run a YouTube Channel, posting full-length one-take plays and micro budget features. It's something I'm very passionate about, and it's a great compliment to my voice over work as it's all about talent, team-work and taking ideas towards their full creative potential.

James and Joanna did a great job voicing characters for my video game. They were kind enough to provide multiple takes and brought a lot of creativity to the roles. Professional, quick communication and lovely to work with as well!

This is my second time working with James and he goes above and beyond every time! He always gives the lines more than one take, and he always gives it his all! You can tell that he loves what he does! I chose the HQ extra for this project, and it sounds amazing! I wouldn’t pick anyone else for my voice acting needs!!

11/10. I was looking for a very specific kind of narration for a short film, and James followed my instructions to a T and then some. I'm absolutely blown away by the quality. It's taken my project to the next level. Thank you James!

Absolutely superb work from James and Joanna. Between them they provided the voices for five very different characters: Simone Moon, Madame Sosostris, Grubby the Proto-Goblin, Indigo Lukewarm and Leggy Bishop, as well as a handful of smaller cameo roles, and gave every one of them a distinct personality...

Absolutely amazing work! James delivered the voice-over incredibly quickly and the final result exceeded my expectations. The voice fits the character perfectly and the performance was exactly what I was looking for. Great communication throughout the whole process as well. I’d definitely love to work with him again in the future. Highly recommended! :)
