Assistant Mixing & Mastering Engineer - Professional Recording Studio I've been working as an Assistant Mixing & Mastering Engineer in a professional studio for the past 1.5 years, gaining extensive hands-on experience in professional audio production, mixing, mastering, studio operations and critical listening. My responsibilities include preparing and organizing projects from the initial stages, working on mixes and masters to a stage where they can be reviewed and then fine refined by the senior engineer, and giving my own technical and creative input throughout the process. I also handle various aspects of studio technical operations which includes equipment wiring, signal routing, hardware setup, maintenance and cleaning. Working so close with professional studio hardware has given me practical experience with both digital and analog workflows. Beyond the technical work, I also regularly provide my opinions and feedback on mixes and masters, which are considered during the revision and finalization process. This experience has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of professional mixing and mastering workflows, session management, critical listening, audio processing, studio hardware and the standards required for commercial releases.
