I create custom illustrations for children's storybooks, focusing on black-and-white artwork that supports storytelling and engages young readers. My work includes character illustrations, narrative scenes, animal companions, and spot illustrations designed to complement the written story. My creative process involves reviewing the author's brief, understanding the characters and setting, planning compositions, and developing artwork that reflects the intended mood and audience. I pay attention to line quality, contrast, shading, facial expressions, and visual consistency throughout a project. I also work carefully with client references and creative direction to ensure the illustrations match the manuscript's requirements. Before beginning an assignment, I clarify the scope, expected deliverables, file formats, deadlines, and revision arrangements. My goal is to help authors communicate their stories through clear, expressive, and thoughtfully composed illustrations. If you are preparing a children's book, share your manuscript excerpt and illustration ideas so we can discuss your project requirements.
