I have been an ASE Certified mechanic since 2008, well versed in all makes and models. I have worked for dealerships and small independent shops for years, and the amount of money a potential customer may pay versus what it costs to source the part and replace it on your own (depending on the issue, owners would be surprised how easily some problems can be fixed in their driveway with little to no experience), prompted the idea to offer my services to anyone looking to diagnose or repair their car, get it to pass SMOG/inspection (depending on what state you live in), or even just get rid of some pesky check engine lights or small issues that have been bothering you. Most auto-parts stores will check your Check Engine light for free and give you the code numbers to help diagnose the issue (don't have them clear the codes). If you have a Check Engine light, and can make it to an auto-parts store that will scan your codes for free, I can set you on the right track for proper and cost effective repair. If you have just noticed something strange with your vehicle like a strange noise, vibration, electrical issue, etc, I am also happy to help diagnose those issues as well.

Why shouldn't I have my Check Engine codes cleared?
Leave any and all existing codes so that once we have diagnosed, and repaired the most likely culprit of the code, we can clear the code ourselves and see if the car is performing normally.
Should I write down all my check engine light codes?
Absolutely! Year, make, and model along with the all of the existing codes in the engines computer are needed for diagnostics.
Will I be able to get the codes for my car?
As long as your car is OBD2 (all cars 1997 and after are OBD2) it will have a generic plug for the code reader to connect to. Any car before 1997 will need to have the codes pulled either by a dealership (which will cost money) or will need a sequence to show the existing codes.
Is any of your work guaranteed?
I can not hold myself liable for anything that you do to your car. If I was working on the car personally, it would be a different matter. I am solely here to offer advice, knowledge, expertise, and ways to save money on repairs. I can not assume liability for anything you do to your car.
