I am a teacher in Germany for German, History and Philosophy. I also published a non-fiction book and academic articles at my area of expertise. I consider myself as a person with broad interests and I love to read. That makes fiverr so compelling to me. :)
I am an expert on proofreading AI translated texts and recently worked as a Linguistic Editor for DeepL. At Fiverr, with my general proofreading gig I already worked with a lot of AI translated or generated texts (epecially copywriting and marketing related) and therefore I am the best choice to see all their flaws and to give them a native German touch.
I always do both at once, proofreading and editing.
Proofreading: Spelling, punctuation, grammar, typos, syntax, standardising typography.
Editing: Replacement of repeated words, simplification and improvement of expression and sentence structure, insertion of passive constructions and scientific formulations.
Before ordering, please send me a message with your text (or a part of your text) so we can find the best offer for you. At the same time you can tell me your wishes.
Delivery time depends on the text length. Short texts up to 15000 words usually within 1-3 days.

What is your turnaround time for proofreading and editing projects?
If you have specific deadlines, please let me know, and I'll do my best to accommodate them. The turnaround time depends on the length and complexity of your document. For smaller projects, I typically deliver within 2-48 hours. However, larger projects may require additional time.
Besides sending a Word file, what other options do you offer?
No problem: You can also send me Excel sheets or a link to a Google document. In cases of websites, I work with WordPad++, I take screenshots or I directly edit in WordPress/Elementor (Note: Because of the extra time working with these tools, I charge a litttle bit extra).
Can I request specific changes or ask you to focus on specific areas of my document?
Just let me know your preferences and I will make sure to follow them. If you're unsure, feel free to contact me, and I'll help you determine which service suits your needs.
Why are there different prices for DeepL and ChatGPT translated texts?
ChatGPT proves to be more inconsistent while translating texts and/or occassionally forgets about its prompt. General Quality with DeepL is better and as consequence is less work for a native proofreader.
