What are Track Changes?
Track Changes is a feature built into Microsoft Word that allows me to make edits within the document without changing the document itself. After all, while you're hiring me for edits, the book is first and foremost, yours. If I suggest an edit you don't agree with, you can easily revert it.
Why do you send two documents?
While Track Changes is an amazing tool, it can be difficult to see the story through them all. I provide a clean version so you can read through the story with all the edits applied. I do recommend you go through each edit one by one in the Track Changes document, though.
What style guide do you follow?
I edit following the Chicago Manual of Style.
What dialects of English will you edit?
While I am from the US, I can edit in British English, Canadian English, Indian English, and Australian English as well.
Will you edit adult content?
Yes. Please let me know if your piece contains any adult scenes before placing an order. While I have no issues editing sex scenes, I do prefer to know they're there ahead of time.
Why do edits take so long?
I want to provide the best service for your money, and to do that I need some time. If you need your edits back sooner, I do have expedited services available, but I would highly recommend getting your work edited sooner, rather than later, so we'll have plenty of time to work together.
Why are edits so expensive?
Editing takes a lot of time and attention to make sure I catch as many errors as humanly possible. I go above and beyond on every project so you can publish with confidence. You are not only paying for my time, but my experience as well.
