Worked directly with Shopify store owners to identify and resolve the root causes of slow page load times across both desktop and mobile devices. My approach focused on Core Web Vitals metrics including Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), since these directly affect both user experience and Google search ranking. Tasks included compressing and lazy-loading images without sacrificing visual quality, minifying JavaScript and CSS files to reduce file size, and removing render-blocking scripts that were delaying the initial page render. I also audited installed Shopify apps to identify which ones were adding unnecessary script weight and slowing down store performance, then worked with clients to remove or replace bloated apps with lighter alternatives. Each project was measured using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix before and after optimization, giving clients clear, documented proof of improvement.
