The goal was to simplify the traditional patio consultation process and create a faster, more scalable experience similar to an Amazon or IKEA-style purchasing journey. The solution uses an AI call agent that interacts with customers through natural conversation. Acting as a “Modern Patio Concierge,” the agent answers questions, explains patio models, and guides callers through the patio selection process while collecting essential project information. During each call, the AI gathers structured details such as the customer’s location, confirmation of homeownership, preferred patio model, package type (DIY materials, installed package, or premium option), yard conditions, and project timeline. It also captures contact information to ensure every interaction becomes a qualified lead for the Patios4U team. The system is supported by a voice-optimized knowledge base that allows the AI to quickly answer common questions about services, patio models, service areas, and the purchasing process. This ensures callers receive clear, accurate information without needing a human representative for routine inquiries. Once a customer selects a patio model, the AI guides them to the next step by sending a mobile link for AR visualization or yard scanning. Customers can project the patio design in their space or upload photos of their yard for evaluation. This data allows the Patios4U team to review site conditions and prepare a quote more efficiently. To maintain accuracy, the AI follows guardrails that prevent it from giving final pricing, guaranteeing permits, or making promises about project timelines. Complex inquiries or special requests are automatically escalated to a human specialist.
