What genres do you beta read?
I beta read fantasy, romance, thriller, romantic suspense, dark romance, paranormal romance, YA fiction, and other types of novels. If you’re unsure whether your manuscript fits, feel free to message me first.
What will you focus on while reading my manuscript?
I’ll look at the story from a reader’s point of view, including the plot, pacing, characters, dialogue, romance, suspense, emotional moments, confusing sections, and overall reading experience.
Will you give honest feedback?
Yes. I’ll tell you what worked for me and what didn’t. If something confused me, felt slow, or pulled me out of the story, I’ll point it out and explain why.
Do you edit or rewrite manuscripts?
No. Beta reading is different from proofreading or editing. I’ll give you feedback and suggestions, but I won’t rewrite your manuscript for you.
Will you point out plot holes?
Yes. If I notice an inconsistency, missing information, unrealistic character decision, or anything that doesn’t quite add up, I’ll make a note of it.
Can you beta read an unfinished manuscript?
Yes, as long as you provide enough of the story for me to understand the characters and direction of the plot. If you’re unsure, send me a message before ordering.
What format should I send my manuscript in?
You can send your manuscript in a commonly used format such as Word or PDF. If you have a different format, message me first and I’ll let you know if I can work with it.
Will you keep my manuscript private?
Yes. Your manuscript and any information you share with me will be treated as private and confidential.
Can I ask questions about your feedback?
Of course. If you need clarification about something I mentioned in my feedback, you can message me and I’ll explain my thoughts.
Should I message you before placing an order?
It’s not always necessary, but I recommend messaging me if your manuscript is unusually long, has a specific genre, or you have particular areas you want me to pay attention to.
