How do I know if my manuscript is ready for a developmental edit?
If you have a complete first or second draft, you're ready. A developmental edit at this stage will actually be far more useful than later on – it's designed to help you refine at a structural level.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your full manuscript as a Word document or Google Doc, plus a brief note on your genre, intended audience, and any specific concerns you'd like me to focus on. Letting me know if this is your first book or not is also helpful!
Do you work with first-time writers?
Absolutely! Many of my clients are working on their first manuscript. I tailor my feedback to where you are as a writer.
Do you offer line editing or proofreading?
I do offer line editing, but I'd strongly recommend completing a developmental edit first. This makes sure the 'furniture' is in the right place before we start arranging the decor, so to speak!
What if my manuscript is between package word counts?
Message me before ordering and we can agree on the right package or a custom offer.
