I beta read children's books, picture books, early readers, chapter books, middle grade (MG), and young adult (YA) manuscripts.
What kind of feedback will I receive?
You'll receive honest reader feedback on story flow, character development, pacing, age-appropriateness, emotional impact, dialogue, and overall reader engagement. Every package includes a reader report.
What does "educator insight" mean?
My feedback is informed by an understanding of how children engage with stories. I pay attention to age-appropriate language, readability, emotional connection, and whether the story is likely to resonate with its intended audience.
Will you edit or rewrite my manuscript?
No. This is a beta reading service, not editing or proofreading. I'll provide constructive reader feedback and suggestions while preserving your unique voice.
What file formats do you accept?
I accept Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx), PDF, and Google Docs. If your manuscript is in another format, feel free to contact me before ordering.
