A great story deserves great editing. As a thirteen-time published author and experienced professional editor, I understand how much of yourself goes into writing a book. Handing your manuscript to someone else requires trust, and I never take that lightly. My approach combines a writer's understanding of storytelling with an editor's eye for structure, clarity, consistency, and detail. Depending on your manuscript's needs, I'll look beyond grammar and punctuation to identify issues with pacing, character development, POV, continuity, repetition, dialogue, flow, and places where the story may lose or confuse the reader. Most importantly, I respect your voice. My job is not to rewrite your book into the story I would have written. I want your manuscript to sound like YOU—only stronger, clearer, tighter, and more polished. When I suggest a change, I do so with your story and your reader in mind. Whether you plan to self-publish or pursue traditional publication, professional editing is an important step between finishing your draft and putting it in front of readers, agents, or publishers. I provide honest, constructive feedback while also recognizing what you're doing well. Editing should help you understand your manuscript better, not leave you feeling as though someone else has taken ownership of it. Please submit a complete manuscript that you have personally reviewed and revised to the best of your ability. Editing can strengthen and reshape a draft, but manuscripts requiring extensive rewriting, reconstruction, assembly, or multiple versions to be reconciled may require a custom quote. I will approach your manuscript with the same care, attention, and respect I give my own work. Because I'm not simply correcting words. I'm helping you tell your story as well as you possibly can. PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE ORDERING so I can review your project and make sure you receive the appropriate service.

I’m P.S. Bartlett, a thirteen-time published author, lifelong storyteller, and firm believer that the best books don’t simply entertain us—they take us somewhere. My stories have crossed oceans, sailed with pirates, stepped into history, explored the supernatural, and ventured into worlds where imagination and reality collide. I’m drawn to adventure, mystery, romance, historical settings, and characters who are complicated, imperfect, courageous, and human. For me, writing has always been about more than putting words on a page. I want readers to see the world I see, feel what my characters feel, and become invested enough to forget for a while that they’re reading a book at all. I’ve written and published thirteen books across multiple genres, including the Razor’s Adventures series, Fireflies, Hope from the Ocean, and my science-fiction romance, Hiro-J: Energy. Every book has taught me something new—not only about storytelling, but about perseverance, revision, publishing, and the courage it takes to share something you created with the world. That experience also shapes the way I work with other authors. I understand what it feels like to hand someone your manuscript and wait for their reaction. I know how personal our stories can become, how fiercely we protect our characters, and how difficult it can be to hear that something we love isn’t quite working yet. Writing is both craft and imagination. I believe in strong storytelling, memorable characters, emotional honesty, and trusting the reader. I also believe an author’s voice is worth protecting. Whether I’m writing one of my own novels or helping another writer strengthen theirs, my philosophy is simple: Tell the story only you can tell—and tell it with everything you’ve got.

Peggy provided wonderful feedback on my second novel. She included many ideas which will improve the book and also offered strong encouragement (always helpful to the beleaguered scribe). I intend to pick up on her suggestions. She also delivered prompytly and ahead of schedule.
