Key responsibilities and contributions: - Designed, built, and shipped end-to-end Android features in Kotlin and Java, owning work from spec through release - Migrated significant portions of the legacy Java codebase to Kotlin and modernized the architecture to MVVM with a clean Repository layer - Worked across core product flows including doctor search and booking, video consultations, e-pharmacy checkout, lab test ordering, and patient profiles - Integrated REST APIs using Retrofit and OkHttp, with Room for offline caching and reliable local persistence - Integrated third-party SDKs for video calling, payment gateways, push notifications, deep linking, and analytics - Implemented Firebase Crashlytics, Analytics, and Remote Config to monitor stability and run gradual feature rollouts - Investigated and resolved production crashes and ANRs, measurably improving the app's crash-free user rate - Optimized app startup time, screen rendering, and memory usage on low-end Android devices common in the local market - Implemented in-app purchases and subscription flows using Google Play Billing - Wrote unit and instrumentation tests, and participated in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency - Collaborated daily with backend, product, design, and QA teams in an Agile workflow, contributing to sprint planning and release cycles - Delivered consistent bi-weekly production releases with zero major regressions Tech: Kotlin, Java, MVVM, Coroutines, Retrofit, Room, Hilt, Firebase, Google Play Billing.
