I will do stream or screen book editing developmental book editor for dark romance book
Acerca de este Servicio
Your Book is Safe in the Shadows, But It Needs to Kill on the Page.
Are you writing a dark romance that pushes boundaries, explores the forbidden, and features anti-heroes your readers will hate to love? Writing this genre takes guts. But editing it? That takes a specialized eye.
If your manuscript has intense power dynamics, moral gray areas, and breathless tension, you cannot trust it to a general editor who might ask you to "tone it down." You need a developmental editor who understands that in dark romance, the obsession must be intoxicating, the stakes must be lethal, and the psychological tension must be razor-sharp.
I will dive deep into your manuscript to ensure your dark romance doesn't just shock readersit hooks them completely.
What I Focus on as Your Developmental Editor:
- The Anti-Hero & Power Dynamics
- Pacing & Emotional Arc
- Plot Holes & World Logic
- Trigger/Boundary Management
Choose Your Editing Flow:
- Stream Book Editing: Perfect if you want a dynamic, ongoing partnership.
- Screen Book Editing: Ideal for completed drafts.
I also provide copy editing, proofreading & book formatting if needed.

FAQ
Do you edit all dark romance tropes and subgenres?
Yes. I am fully comfortable with and experienced in editing all facets of dark romance, including mafia, dark academia, secret societies, captive/captor, stalker, enemies-to-lovers, and monster/paranormal dark romance. No trope is too dark or taboo for my desk.
Will you try to censor or tone down my dark content?
Absolutely not. I understand that dark romance requires high stakes, intense power dynamics, and boundary-pushing themes. My job as your developmental editor is not to sanitize your story, but to make sure your dark elements are impactful, logical, and deeply addictive for your target audience.
What is the difference between your Stream and Screen editing services?
Stream Editing is a dynamic, ongoing process where I review your manuscript in active, rolling sections (e.g., chapter by chapter) while you write or revise. Screen Editing is a deep-dive, comprehensive pass on a completed manuscript. I analyze the entire book from start to finish.
Do you check for grammar, spelling, and typos in this gig?
This is a developmental editing gig, which means our focus is entirely on the big picture: plot holes, character arcs, pacing, tension, and story structure. While I will point out glaring line issues if I see them, a final line edit or proofread should be done after we finalize your story.
Can you work with a book that has heavy triggers?
Yes. I am a completely judgment-free editor. I will help you manage heavy triggers to ensure they serve the plot and deliver the exact emotional punch your readers expect, without breaking the internal logic of your world.
What do I need to send you to get started?
For Screen Editing, please send your completed manuscript in a Microsoft Word document (.docx), along with a brief synopsis and a list of your content warnings/triggers. For Stream Editing, contact me first so we can map out a custom delivery schedule for your chapters!
