I’m Patricia Matthew, and I’ve always been the friend who stayed up late reading someone’s story and then called the next day to talk about it. In college, a friend asked me to read her romance manuscript before she submitted it. I noticed where the characters felt real, where the romance lost its spark, and where I wanted more. She encouraged me to keep doing it.
