I’m a Mechanical Engineering student with a strong interest in CAD design and mechanical drafting. I enjoy turning engineering concepts into practical 2D drawings and 3D models, and I’ve been building my skills through academic and personal projects using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. My experience includes creating detailed 2D engineering drawings, developing 3D mechanical models, and assembling components in SolidWorks using mates and proper assembly techniques. I’ve worked on projects such as a flywheel–connecting rod–piston mechanism, drone assembly, and flange coupling, which helped me gain practical experience in part modelling, assembly, and technical documentation. I’m also familiar with standard engineering views, sectional and detail views, dimensioning, BOM preparation, and exploded/assembly views. Alongside CAD, I’m developing my understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, mechanical design principles, and manufacturing considerations. Currently, I’m focused on improving my skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, mechanical drafting, GD&T, and overall mechanical design with the goal of building a career in design engineering.
