FAQ
Do your audiobooks meet the technical specs for Audible?
Yes, I follow the Audible requirements for all of my audiobooks.
Can you provide different "voices" for characters in my book?
Yes, however, while I do provide a variety of pitch changes, emotions, and sounds to make characters distinct, I do not do "impressions" and my voice still remains my voice.
How does the Background Music extra work?
With audiobooks, there is often music added to the introduction and closing credits. This music needs to be either owned by you or copyright free. I am happy to add music to the track for the added fee.
What's the difference between an mp3 file and WAV file?
An mp3 file is a COMPRESSED audio file, a WAV is an UNCOMPRESSED, HQ audio file, so it is of higher quality and is a larger file size. Audible uses MP3 files, as WAV files would be very large for long projects.
What time zone are you in?
I live in the US on the West Coast. So I am in the US, Pacific Time Zone.
Can you proof read my book?
Yes, I can, but there will be an added cost. I will only correct grammar, but will not add any creative changes.
What about revisions in an audiobook?
Included is 2 rounds of revisions. This gives you time to listen to the book 2 times, to make sure there are no errors, mispronounced words, etc, that I need to correct. I do my very best to provide for you a completely error free book, but with thousands of words, as second reader is helpful.
What equipment do you use for recording?
I have a sound proof studio with a Shure KSM44A micrphone, Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface, Vegas 19.0 Pro DAW, Izotope RX9 audio editor.
