I was commissioned by Mythic Shuffle Studios to design and illustrate a complete visual system for their original tabletop trading card game. The project involved creating a cohesive card design language that balanced gameplay readability with strong thematic storytelling inspired by African cultural motifs and modern fantasy aesthetics. My responsibilities included developing the full card layout system, designing unique card frames for different card classes, and illustrating key characters and artifacts used throughout the deck. I also worked closely with the game development team to ensure that the card interface supported clear gameplay mechanics, intuitive icon placement, and easy information hierarchy for players. To maintain visual consistency across the deck, I created a modular card template that allowed the studio to scale production efficiently while keeping the artwork and typography aligned with the brand identity of the game. The final deliverables included production-ready card templates, high-resolution illustrations, and print-ready files optimized for commercial manufacturing. The finished design helped bring the game world to life and provided the studio with a visually compelling product ready for crowdfunding campaigns, marketing materials, and prototype printing.
