Do you want to block ads and trackers on your entire home network?
I am an IT student and Linux enthusiast. I will remotely help you install and configure AdGuard Home or Pi-hole on your hardware.
Instead of installing ad-blockers on every single device, we will set up a central DNS filter on your server.
What I will do (Server Admin Tasks):
- Install the software (via Docker Compose or native Linux script).
- Configure Upstream DNS (Cloudflare/Google/Quad9) for better speed.
- Set up the correct blocklists (Standard & Privacy focused).
- Guide you on how to point your Router to the new DNS.
Requirements: You need a running device: Raspberry Pi (3, 4, 5 or Zero 2W), a NAS (with Docker support), or an Always-On PC/VPS running Linux/Windows.
Why hire me? I focus on clean configurations. I ensure the service restarts automatically if the server reboots and I provide a simple guide to manage the dashboard.

Do you need remote access to my computer or network?
It depends on the task. Usually, I can provide configuration files and a step-by-step guide for you to run. However, for complex setups (like OpenWrt or Docker), using AnyDesk or TeamViewer (with you watching) is often faster and easier. We will decide together what makes you comfortable.
What happens if something stops working after the delivery?
I offer 7 days of free support after the order is completed. If a bug appears or a configuration fails within that week, I will fix it for free. My goal is a stable, long-term solution for you.
I am not a "tech person." Will I be able to manage the system?
Yes! My main strength is explaining things simply. I always design systems to be "set and forget." Plus, if you buy the PDF Guide extra, you will have a manual with pictures to help you in the future.
Do you work on weekends?
Yes, as a student, I often work on weekends. However, please contact me before placing an urgent order on Saturday or Sunday to confirm my availability.
Will this block YouTube ads on my Smart TV or Phone App?
Please read carefully: DNS blockers (like Pi-hole/AdGuard) CANNOT block ads embedded in the YouTube app or Twitch app. They block almost everything else (websites, in-game mobile ads, trackers), but YouTube hosts ads directly in the video stream, so DNS cannot stop them.
What hardware do I need before I order?
You need a device that stays ON to run the server. Ideally: a Raspberry Pi (any model), a NAS (Synology/Qnap with Docker), or an Always-On PC/Mini-PC (Windows or Linux). If you are unsure, message me first!
Will this slow down my internet speed?
No, quite the opposite! By blocking ad images and tracking scripts before they download, your web browsing often feels faster and snappier.
