Began January 2022 as work study – Currently Employed Full Time Lab Technician My duties for the DVCP Lab include assisting students with software troubleshooting, mainly pertaining to Adobe products, SNS Systems, Cheqroom rental assistance, different editing softwares, and hardware for cameras or camera accessories, as well as providing necessary IT services to staff and students as needed on a necessary basis. I also use Footprints to input IT tickets that exceed my scope of support in the lab. I am also responsible for setting up and managing the SNS share drives for faculty and students, as well as assigning access for certain drives for all. My other duties include testing various audio and video devices for proper functionality, recording inventories for all devices and accessories checked in and out of the lab, and assisting instructors with instructional setup pertaining to camera use or studio workshops. Along with these duties I am tasked with providing the necessary training for all new equipment for staff and students, as well as making sure all new equipment is up to date with any software or hardware updates needed.
