A small property management company was tracking leases, tenant maintenance requests, and rent collection across scattered spreadsheets and email threads. I set up Claude Cowork with MCP server connections into their Google Drive lease documents, a shared maintenance inbox, and their accounting spreadsheet, so the operation ran from one coordinated workflow instead of disconnected tools. This build includes an AI agent that read incoming maintenance emails, categorized urgency, and drafted responses to tenants and contractors for manager approval before sending. A second workflow extracted key lease terms, renewal dates, and rent amounts from PDF lease documents through MCP-based data extraction, flagging any lease renewing within 60 days. Claude in Chrome automated rent-roll pulls from a login-gated property portal with no export feature, turning a manual weekly copy-paste task into a scheduled run. Because this workflow touched tenant communication and rent data, every action included a human approval step before anything was sent or logged as final, protecting the client from an agent acting on financial or legal matters without sign-off. I delivered live screen-share training for the office manager, plus documented SOPs covering how to pause, review, or override any automated step. This showed Claude Cowork for property management and real estate has real, underserved demand.
