During my internship, I gained hands-on experience in advanced GIS and Remote Sensing workflows, focusing on spatial data analysis, digitization, and flood hazard mapping. My responsibilities included: > Preprocessing satellite datasets (Landsat, Sentinel-2, DEMs) for hydrological and land-use studies. > Supporting flood hazard mapping for high-risk districts in Southern Punjab and Northern Sindh. > Digitizing, georeferencing, and managing spatial datasets in ArcGIS and QGIS. > Preparing thematic maps and reports to assist ongoing research at GSP. This internship strengthened my technical skills in geospatial analysis, improved my data interpretation abilities, and gave me valuable exposure to applying GIS in real-world research and disaster management contexts.
