I used to explain a products description to customers without confusing them especially if its a new product and encouraged them to buy without being pushy. I ensured to maintain the customer for a long term by giving them accurate information about the products. Listening to the needs of my customers and ensuring I deliver products of their taste. Understanding their disappointments and making corrections so as to maintain the customers and also provide products that satisfied their needs. I also adapted to the market situations like when the production of a product is high then the product is likely to be expensive. I learned that you have to purchase the same product regardless of the price because you already have its customers. Sometimes you purchase the few pieces of the product due to the price changes. I gained follow up skills whereby if a customer asked for a certain missing product I would have their number and ensure that whenever the product is available I would ask them to pick it if they are still available. Knowledge of my competitors and what they are selling and at what price also made me what my customers expect from my business. Being able to maintain customer relations and trust through competitors by selling them products of their own descriptions, taste and preferred prices. By doing this you ensure you deliver your customers need and wants within their preferred timeline. I made sure to have Product knowledge thus not struggling when having to help a customer what best fits their needs. Knowing the difference between various products and brands even if they have same purpose. At times, customers/clients prefer brands that have expensive products in the sense of cheap is expensive, so they rather buy expensive brands and as a sales lady one is expected to provide a customer with that information in a way that they do not degrade the cheap brands products. Negotiation skills, I learned that in sales you have to be very flexible with prices.
