Firebase is faster and cheaper for MVPs, chat and real-time apps. FastAPI + PostgreSQL suits complex data, custom logic and full control with no vendor lock-in. Share your idea and I will recommend one.
Do you build both the app and the backend?
Yes. I build the Flutter app and the backend (Firebase or FastAPI + PostgreSQL), connect them and test the full flow. You can also order only the app if you already have an API.
Will the app work on Android and iOS?
Yes, Flutter uses one codebase for both. I test mainly on Android. For iOS builds and TestFlight I need access to your Apple Developer account.
Do I get the source code?
Yes. You get the full Flutter code, backend code, database schema and API documentation (Swagger for FastAPI).
Where will the backend be hosted?
Firebase runs in your own Firebase project. FastAPI is delivered with Docker and can be deployed on any VPS, Render, Railway or AWS. Hosting costs are paid by you.
