What does "vectorization" or "vector tracing" actually mean?
Vectorization is the process of converting pixel-based images (like JPEGs or PNGs) into mathematical paths. Unlike standard images, vector files can be scaled to any size (from a business card to a billboard) without losing quality or becoming blurry.
Can you work with very low-quality or blurry images?
In most cases, yes! I specialize in manual redrawing, which means I recreate your logo shape by shape. However, if the image is extremely pixelated, please message me first so I can confirm if the fine details can be salvaged.
Do you use "Auto-Trace" or do you redraw manually?
I redraw every element manually using the Pen Tool in Adobe Illustrator. Auto-trace often results in jagged edges and too many anchor points; manual tracing ensures clean, professional, and easy-to-edit paths.
Which file formats will I receive?
I typically provide a comprehensive package including AI, EPS, SVG, and PDF (vector formats), as well as high-resolution PNG and JPEG (raster formats). If you need a specific format like CDR or DXF, just let me know!
Will the vector file have a transparent background?
Yes! I will provide a transparent PNG and a vector file with no background, making it perfect for watermarking, printing on t-shirts, or placing on websites.
Can you change colors or modify the design during the redraw?
