What is the difference between mastering, stem mastering, and mix & mastering?
Mastering uses one stereo file to optimize loudness, tone, and translation. Stem mastering uses up to 6 grouped stems for more control without changing the mix. Mix & mastering works with individual tracks to balance, process, and finalize the song from scratch.
What is stem mastering?
Stem mastering is a mastering process using up to 6 grouped stems instead of a single stereo file. This allows better control over balance, dynamics, and tone without changing the original mix. It sits between stereo mastering and full mix & mastering.
What counts as a track or stem?
Each track equals one individual stem. This includes layers, FX returns, and any separately exported audio files. The Premium package includes up to 15 stems. For projects over 30 stems, the Unlimited Stems option is recommended.
What will make me know that your mastering is really what you say?
In the tests I refer, you can observe my masterings yourself at your discretion.
What kind of mastering do you do?
Digital mastering, today digital mastering equals and even surpasses analog mastering, since in analog you are forced to process the audio in the processors you have in your studio, on the other hand, in digital mastering you process the song according to the processors you need to reach your goal.
