As a System & Infrastructure Engineer, I design, implement, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise IT infrastructure environments. My responsibilities include managing VMware virtualization platforms, Linux and Windows servers, enterprise storage, SAN infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and cloud technologies. I work extensively with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter environments, including HA/DRS clusters, VM deployment, migration, performance troubleshooting, and infrastructure maintenance. My storage and SAN responsibilities include administration and troubleshooting of NetApp ONTAP, HPE storage platforms, Fibre Channel SAN environments, Cisco MDS switches, SAN zoning, multipathing, LUN provisioning, and storage performance/capacity issues. I also work with enterprise backup and recovery solutions including Veritas NetBackup and Backup Exec, covering backup infrastructure deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, restore operations, and disaster recovery planning. On the Linux side, I administer Ubuntu and RHEL environments, configure services, storage, networking, systemd, automation and monitoring solutions. I also work with scripting and automation to simplify infrastructure operations and improve reliability. My role additionally involves infrastructure monitoring, incident troubleshooting, technical documentation, customer support, migration planning, and working with vendor support teams such as HPE, Huawei, NetApp, VMware/Broadcom, Cisco, and Veritas to resolve complex enterprise infrastructure issues. I focus on reliable, secure, and maintainable infrastructure while minimizing downtime and providing practical solutions to production environments.
