Work with small and mid-size nonprofits to resolve IRS compliance issues, most often automatic revocation of 501(c)(3) status due to missed Form 990 filings. Prepare and submit Form 1023 and 1023-EZ applications for reinstatement, along with the retroactive reasonable cause statements the IRS requires. Bring delinquent Form 990 and 990-EZ filings current, update outdated bylaws to meet state and federal requirements, and correct EIN and registered-agent records where needed. Also support new nonprofit clients with initial formation paperwork, annual report filing, and basic grant-readiness documents. Regularly coordinate directly with board members and treasurers to rebuild an organization's compliance history from scratch.
