Investigated molecular mechanisms of brain aging by analyzing gene expression and behaviour in mice at different life stages. The goal was to identify correlations between biochemical alterations and cognitive decline markers. Key contributions: Designed and executed experiments measuring expression of functional genes involved in neurogenesis, plasticity, and apoptosis. Applied RT-PCR and spectrophotometric assays to quantify mRNA and metabolite levels in cortical, hippocampal and cerebellum tissue. Conducted statistical analysis of gene expression data to identify age-related regulatory patterns. Collaborated with colleagues to interpret molecular findings in the context of behavioral and neuropsychological models of aging.
