As I leave the place of despair, I walk through decaying streets filled with broken people lying on them, just waiting to be taken away to work for nothing but their drugs. Because a sober man is defiant, an addicted man is obedient. Everyone knows it, yet nothing stops it. We try, but they just cut us out, and in a couple of days, we come crawling back, begging for another dose. Selling everyone and everything. It shrieks and starts charging at me. My body is screaming to run, and my mind agrees. I run into a darkening forest filled with dry, dying trees. My heart feels like its about to explode as the footsteps get louder. Please run, dont give up, I tell my body, but its weakening with each step. I cant run; I cant fight it. My body is refusing to move any further.
