Hello! I'm Yuka, a Japanese calligrapher based in Japan.
I started learning shodō — Japanese calligraphy — at the age of five, and trained for ten years under a teacher. Every piece I create is written by hand, with a real brush and sumi ink on Japanese paper. Never a font, never traced.
I turn names, words and ideas from around the world into Japanese calligraphy. As a native speaker, I don't only write the characters: I help you choose kanji that truly carry the meaning you want, and I explain what each one means.
