I worked as part of the Digital Marketing team at Safaricom PLC, supporting the planning, execution, and optimization of performance-driven digital campaigns for one of East Africa’s largest telecommunications brands. My role focused on leveraging data, digital channels, and customer insights to drive engagement, lead generation, and conversions across multiple products and services. Key responsibilities and contributions included: - Supporting the execution and optimization of paid media campaigns across Google Ads, social media platforms, and display networks - Assisting with SEO and content performance analysis to improve organic visibility and traffic quality - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align digital campaigns with broader brand, product, and commercial goals - Monitoring campaign performance metrics such as CTR, CPA, conversions, and ROAS, and providing actionable insights - Supporting landing page optimization to improve user experience and conversion rates - Using analytics tools to track customer journeys, identify drop-off points, and recommend improvements - Assisting with audience segmentation, remarketing strategies, and A/B testing of creatives and messaging - Ensuring campaigns followed Safaricom’s brand, compliance, and data governance standards This experience strengthened my ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven corporate environment, manage large-scale campaigns, and contribute to measurable business outcomes while collaborating with diverse internal teams and external partners.
