The official update tool preserves most existing site information, including URLs, SEO settings, products, and customer records. However, some older page types and layouts have limitations. I'll review these risks before proceeding rather than guaranteeing that nothing will change.
Can I return to Squarespace 7.0 after the upgrade?
No. Once the version 7.1 update is published, it cannot be reversed. I'll preview and review the website before requesting your approval to publish.
Can you repair my existing custom CSS after upgrading?
Yes, within the agreed package scope. Some CSS selectors and template specific styling no longer work the same way in 7.1, so certain styles may require rewriting.
