As a professional alpha reader, I provide feedback on the most critical, large-scale aspects of your draft: pacing and flow, logic and clarity, character development, plot progression, thematic coherence, and character voice and tone. I am critical, straightforward, and professional in tone, pointing out both strengths and areas for improvement.
I approach each project with close attention to your vision, focusing on the most effective ways to realize it--never sway you to my own whims! I will work on bringing your story to its full potential. Before beginning, I discuss your goals and preferences to ensure my feedback aligns with your manuscripts needs.
For novellas and novels, my packages include in-line comments capturing immediate reactions and observations, chapter reports, and a final comprehensive report addressing the work as a whole (rather than summarizing earlier feedback). I also respond to any specific questions you may have. If your manuscript is over 80.000 words, please contact me directly!

Why hire an alpha reader?
Alpha reading is an crucial early stage that ensures a smooth workflow in the following drafts. Unlike an editor, who corrects and polishes, or beta reader, who provides feedback and impressions on late versions of drafts, alpha reader focuses on the "big picture", and the core skeleton of a book.
Is my work safe with you?
It is. I will keep a copy of your manuscript on my work laptop which is only accessed by me; if you consent, I will also keep a copy of your manuscript on my private Google drive. All documents (except the reports) will be deleted the moment our work is complete. I never use generative AI.
