I have taught over 1000 hours of private and group voice lessons, in locations all around the world, from the Royal Festival Hall in London, to French Woods Festival, New York. Using my training in speech and language therapy, and my experience as a musical director/vocal coach, I deliver a holistic style of singing coaching that focuses on the body as an instrument
I offer a basic package at just $15, for a full written vocal critique to be accessible to students, who want great quality vocal tuition, but don't have lots of money available to them.
From there, I offer a $25 and a $50 package, for clients who want to spend more time developing their vocal technique. Every voice is different, so every vocal routine will be too. Book a lesson with me today and let's start your vocal journey.
I will:
- Analyse your voice in action
- Offer vocal techniques and warmups specific to your voice
- Give direction on songs (including acting through song)
Please note:
- For the Basic package, you will submit a recording of your voice (this can be an unlisted YouTube video, or other recording).
- The Standard and Premium packages are delivered via video call.

Hi! I'm Hannah Ost, a vocal coach, and tutor from Kent, England.
I have taught over 1000 hours of private and group singing lessons, in places all around the world, from the Royal Festival Hall in London, to French Woods Festival, New York. Using my training in speech and language therapy, and my experience as a musical director/vocal coach, I deliver a holistic approach to singing coaching, focusing on the body as an instrument.

FAQ
Do I have to submit a video?
In the Basic Package, you will submit a video of yourself singing a song of your choice, and I will then offer written guidance. In the Standard and Premium packages, we will arrange a video call, where we'll work closely on your technique and song (if applicable).
Do I have to prepare a song?
No! If you want some pointers as to songs which would be best for you, I can help with that. Or, if you just want help with technique, we can work on exercises which will help specific areas of your voice. N.B: Not relevant on Basic package – a song is required to critique.
What is a Full Written Vocal Critique?
In the Basic package, I will complete a full write up based on a YouTube video link you send me. This will include comments on your breathing technique, posture, vocal health, general technique, support and acting through song (if applicable).
What's that video attached to your profile?
Well, I am glad you asked! That is the ending to a project I wrote, starred in and directed during the 2020 quarantine. It features Broadway celebrities, community choirs, students (including my own) and is the opening number to a parody Tony awards 'The Quarantony Awards'. Full song on YouTube!
I've never sung before! Can I still train with you?
Absolutely! I teach all ages and abilities. I'd be excited to start your vocal journey together!
Is there an age requirement?
No – I have experience teaching all ages, from 3 years old and up! All ages are welcome.
Can I order a block of lessons?
Of course! I offer a discount for block bookings. Please contact me directly for more information on this.
What if I miss my lesson?
Other than in extreme circumstances, I require 24 hours notice of cancellation. This is due to the time I spend in preparation, making sure your lesson is perfectly tailored to you!
Can I focus on one specific thing?
Absolutely. Let me know what you want to work on and I will tailor the lesson directly to your specific singing goal(s).

Miss Hannah is a very patient teacher and Emma likes the lesson very much. Miss Hannash taught several vocal skills that can be used in any songs and she noticed a few areas for Emma to work on and improve. Nice class, will book another class soon:)

I love that I can do technique reviews with Hannah when I need to check my progress but don't have time in my schedule to book a full lesson. She puts as much effort into her analysis and critique as she does her live lessons, and offers specific trainings and exercises catered to you based on her observations....

I appreciate how if I take the time to explain to her something specific I've been having trouble with, she is able to almost immediately identify the root of my problems and quickly guide me through exercises to show me how to overcome them and let me hear how things should...
