I will set up nextcloud, mailcow email, and matrix element on your server
Self hosting done right Nextcloud Mailcow, and Matrix on hardware you own
I run IT services for small businesses and homes in Minnesota - Microsoft 365 migrations, on-prem servers, networking, and support. I build self-hosted stacks that stay fast and boring: Nextcloud for ...
Acerca de este Servicio
I will set up self-hosted Nextcloud, Mailcow email, and Matrix chat on your own server, mini PC, or VPS - installed, secured, tested end to end, and ready to log in. No subscription fees and no debugging weekends: your files, your mail, and your team's conversations stay on hardware you control.
What you get:
- Nextcloud installed and hardened: HTTPS, firewall rules, cron jobs, tested login
- Mailcow mail server with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC verified on a live inbox
- Matrix homeserver working in the Element apps for private team chat
- Docker-based setup that survives reboots, with backups you can actually restore
- Plain-English handover doc plus a walkthrough call, so nothing stays a mystery
Have a spare mini PC, an old laptop, or a small VPS sitting idle? That is exactly what this gig is for. Message me with your hardware and goals and I will confirm the right package before you order. All work happens over a temporary admin account - I never need your passwords, and 14 days of fix-it support is included.
FAQ
What do you need to get started?
A server or VPS you can log in to as root (or admin), a domain name you control, and about 30 minutes for the handover call. I send a short checklist first - most buyers are ready the same day.
Will my email end up in spam folders?
SPF, DKIM, and DMARC will be set up correctly and verified. A new server IP can still take a few days to build sender reputation, so I test on delivery and flag anything that needs warming up.
Do you need my passwords?
No. We use a temporary admin account over SSH that you can delete after handover, or we can work over a screen share. You stay in control the entire time.
Can I switch later from Gmail, iCloud, or Drive?
Yes. Moving mail history and files in is a popular add-on. Tell me roughly how much data you have and I will send a custom offer for the migration.
What if it breaks a month later?
Every order includes 14 days of free fixes for anything covered by the gig. After that I offer monthly maintenance plans if you want someone watching the server.
Which hardware works?
Any PC or VPS running a current Ubuntu or Debian, 2 GB of RAM minimum (4 GB or more recommended). I will check your specs before you order and tell you honestly if they will handle it.
