Growing up around my father’s electrical company gave me firsthand exposure to how contractor and trade businesses operate both in the field and behind the scenes. From a young age, I was around job sites, customer interactions, scheduling, estimates, and the day-to-day responsibilities involved in running a service business. As I got older, I began assisting with technology and website-related tasks, helping improve the company’s online presence and gaining experience with how businesses use websites to build trust and attract new customers. I also spent time helping my mother with office and administrative work, which gave me insight into the operational side of the business. This included helping organize information, communicating with customers, understanding scheduling and workflow management, and seeing how important professionalism and responsiveness are in the trades industry. Being closely involved with a family-run trade business helped me understand the unique challenges contractors face, including generating leads, maintaining customer trust, managing reputation, and balancing field work with business operations. That experience is a major reason I now focus on building websites specifically for contractors, tradespeople, and local service businesses. I understand that a contractor’s website needs to do more than simply look modern. It needs to clearly communicate professionalism, showcase work effectively, make it easy for customers to reach out, and help convert visitors into real estimates and phone calls. This background has given me a practical understanding of how local service businesses operate and has strongly influenced the way I approach website design, branding, and lead-focused online presence for clients in the trades industry.
