I have served as a peer reviewer for Elsevier food science–related journals, contributing to the scholarly peer-review process that underpins high-quality academic publishing. In this role, I was responsible for the critical evaluation of original research manuscripts submitted for publication in international journals focusing on food science, food technology, nutrition, food chemistry, food safety, and allied disciplines. My work as a reviewer supported editorial decision-making while ensuring that published research met rigorous scientific, ethical, and methodological standards. The primary purpose of my role as an Elsevier journal reviewer was to uphold the integrity, credibility, and scientific excellence of peer-reviewed food research. Peer review serves as a quality control mechanism in academic publishing, and my contributions helped ensure that manuscripts were evaluated objectively, thoroughly, and fairly. I functioned as an independent expert, offering informed assessments based on my subject-matter expertise and research experience, while maintaining confidentiality and ethical responsibility throughout the review process. As a reviewer, I acted as an intermediary between authors and editors, helping refine manuscripts through constructive feedback. My role extended beyond identifying weaknesses; I actively supported authors in strengthening their work by offering clear recommendations for improvement, clarification, and refinement. critically examined the experimental design, methodology, and analytical approaches used in each study. This included assessing sample selection, experimental controls, data collection procedures, statistical analyses, and reproducibility of results. Where applicable, I evaluated the suitability of laboratory techniques, instrumental methods, and analytical protocols commonly used in food chemistry, microbiology, processing, or nutritional assessment. I tailor my comments to the journal’s audience and editorial expectations
