This project is a creative collaboration with a Spanish publishing house, focusing on developing a deep visual narrative for the text. My goal was to go beyond literal interpretation and create a compelling visual storytelling experience that enhances the author's message. I was responsible for the entire process: from initial character sketches and color scripting to the final book layout and typesetting. When illustrating children's books, understanding the target audience is essential for capturing the characters' personalities and the atmosphere of key scenes. In this project, the most exciting part was visually bringing to life the unusual scenes from the text, as well as designing the mascots and the main character. I successfully balanced a sense of mystery and mystery-filled settings with the overall upbeat, positive tone of the book.
