Why is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) important?
The GDPR is important because it improves the protection of European data subjects' rights and clarifies what companies that process personal data must do to safeguard these rights. All companies and organisations that deal with data relating to EU citizens must comply by the new GDPR.
Why do I need a Data Protection Officer?
With an appointed data protection officer, you ensure that the requirements of the GDPR are always monitored and complied with in your company. Under certain circumstances, it is mandatory to appoint a DPO, e.g. if you are a have 20 emplyees. I would be happy to advise you individually.
But why should I of all people be able to help you?
The answer is even quite simple, data protection and information security are my passion. Both in my studies and in practice at a Law Enforcement Agency, at the Data Protection Office of the German Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag), as well as with various customers, I gained my knowledge.
What are your qualifictions?
During my studies, data protection law was dealt with in detail. For the operation of my own websites is a profound knowledge required. Professionally, I work in the field of data protection (employee at a data protection officer). Continuous further training is also a matter of principle.
