What is the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing balances individual stems/tracks (vocals, drums, keys, etc.). Mastering is the final polish applied to your overall stereo mix, making it loud, balanced, wide, and ready for commercial release.
What file format should I send you?
Please send your final unmastered mix as an uncompressed WAV or AIFF file (preferably 24-bit/44.1kHz or higher, matching your project's native resolution). Please avoid sending MP3s.
How should I prepare my mix for mastering?
Make sure there are no limiters or heavy master-bus compression turned on. Leave around -3dB to -6dB of headroom (peaks should not hit 0dB) so I have enough space to work my magic.
Will my song be loud enough for streaming platforms?
Yes! I master to the optimal LUFS and True Peak standards required by Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and YouTube, ensuring your song sounds competitive and punchy without unwanted distortion.
