Phase 1: The Global Brand Redesign The project started with the challenge of taking their existing website and completely redesigning the user experience. The goal was to create a "Parent Brand" look that felt premium, modern, and cohesive, moving away from the old, cluttered layout. Phase 2: The "Master Layout" Strategy Instead of building random pages, I developed a Master Page Architecture. I engineered a high-end, functional layout that could be replicated across different properties. This ensured that whether a guest was looking at a hotel in Wellington or a retreat in Kapiti, the user experience remained familiar and professional. Phase 3: Custom Color-Coding & Identity To give each hotel its own personality while staying under the U Hotel Group umbrella: I implemented a unique color-coding system for each property page. By swapping specific CSS variables and hex codes, I gave each location a distinct "vibe" (e.g., specific greens, purples, or yellows) without breaking the master layout. This involved managing a complex set of global styles in Elementor to ensure a "one-click" color shift for new properties. Phase 4: Content & Location Mapping I meticulously built out the individual pages for each hotel the group owns. I mapped out the unique offerings, "Our Story" sections, and property-specific features for every location. I ensured that even with the same layout, the content felt tailored and localized for each specific hotel's audience. Phase 5: Technical Finalization Once the design system was perfected, I moved into the technical phase, including the booking system integration and managed full-scale Technical SEO and Google Search Console synchronization to ensure 100% search engine visibility for the new brand launch.
