I work independently with authors, entrepreneurs, and individuals developing fiction and nonfiction books from early concepts to publication. My experience covers the full manuscript journey: shaping ideas into workable outlines, developing chapters, maintaining the author's intended voice, restructuring sections that need stronger direction, and refining manuscripts without stripping away their personality. My editing work goes beyond correcting spelling and grammar. I review sentence flow, chapter organization, repetition, continuity, clarity, pacing, and consistency so the manuscript reads as one complete work. I also proofread completed drafts and identify the small errors that are easy to miss after multiple rounds of writing and revision. For authors preparing to publish, I handle ebook and paperback formatting with attention to chapter breaks, headings, spacing, page structure, front and back matter, and overall reading experience across digital and print editions. I also prepare manuscripts for Amazon KDP requirements and help authors move from a working document to files suitable for publication. Whether I’m writing from an outline, working through a rough manuscript, or preparing a finished book for KDP, I approach each project according to what the manuscript actually needs rather than forcing every book through the same process.
