I am a Backend Senior Software Engineer, with over fifteen years of experience across the Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC) from requirements, Software Design, Implementation (using Test Driven Development for example) through to deployment using CI/CD methodologies. I have extensive experience developing SpringBoot RESTFul API Micro-services. I used many different frameworks and libraries including Junit 5, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, Mockito. My role at Vodafone UK was as a Java Software Engineer working in an agile cross-functional software development team, implementing a new distributed REST Micro-services using Java 8 using the SpringBoot framework. The project I worked on was a digital transformation project. For this we had to design, implement, test and deploy a brand-new REST Micro-services architecture to replace the existing third-party solution from the ground up. This solution was hosted and deployed in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. This led to a massive improvement for the customer and resulted in a massive increase in customer satisfaction, and so our solution was also rolled to Vodafone Group on a global level.
