1. Financial Management & Revenue Cycle

This is often considered the "backbone" of the practice, ensuring it remains profitable and sustainable. 

Revenue Cycle Management (RCM): Overseeing the entire lifecycle of a patient account, from initial registration to final payment.

Billing & Coding: Accurate medical coding and submission of electronic claims to insurance payers.

Accounts Receivable (A/R): Managing collections, tracking overdue payments, and handling claim denials or appeals.

Financial Planning: Developing annual budgets, generating profit-and-loss reports, and identifying cost-saving measures. 

2. Administrative & Daily Operations 

These tasks ensure the "front office" runs smoothly and patients have a positive experience. 

Patient Scheduling: Managing electronic calendars, online booking, and automated appointment reminders to reduce no-show rates.

Registration & Verification: Collecting patient demographics and verifying insurance eligibility before the visit.

Records Management: Maintaining organized and accessible patient records, often integrated with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Inventory Management: Ordering and tracking medical supplies
