What is the difference between developmental editing and proofreading?
Developmental editing looks at the big picture: plot, structure, pacing, characters, argument and flow. Proofreading is the final polish that fixes spelling, grammar, punctuation and typos. I offer both so the manuscript is strong in content and clean on the page
What types of books do you edit?
Novels, memoirs, nonfiction, self-help, children's books and general manuscripts. Please message me first for very technical or specialized topics.
Do you edit fiction and nonfiction?
Yes. For fiction I focus on plot, character arcs, pacing and dialogue. For nonfiction I focus on structure, clarity, flow and reader engagement.
What will I receive after the edit?
An edited manuscript with tracked changes and comments, plus a feedback summary that covers strengths, weak areas and clear suggestions for revision.
Will you change my writing style or voice?
No. I keep your voice and style intact. My suggestions aim to strengthen your writing, not rewrite it
