I'm Chris Coppes, a professional VFX artist from the Netherlands with over 11 years of experience creating visual effects. I started learning VFX when I was 11 years old and have been working with it ever since. I later studied at the Film Academy of the Netherlands in Amsterdam, where I was trained by industry professionals working at the highest level of visual effects.
My main specialization is compositing, but I also create high-end 3D work and complex FX simulations when a project requires it.

Hi, I’m Chris Coppes, a professional VFX artist from the Netherlands.
I started creating VFX at the age of 11 and have been passionate about visual effects ever since. After years of practice and professional projects, I studied VFX at the Film Academy of the Netherlands in Amsterdam, where I learned from experienced artists in the industry.
I do not use generative AI to create my VFX. Every shot is crafted by me using professional techniques and a hands-on creative process.

Do you use AI?
I do not create AI generated visual effects. Every shot is built using professional VFX techniques by hand. Some of my software includes AI assisted tools for certain tasks, but the final work is always artist created. not generated.
Do I need to contact you before ordering?
Yes. Every VFX shot is unique. Please message me first so we can discuss the shot, timeline, complexity, and choose the correct package.
What information do you need before starting?
The more information you can provide, the smoother the project will go. Ideally, please include: What effect(s) you want to achieve Reference images or videos Shot length Resolution Frame rate (FPS) Camera movement (locked-off or moving) Lens used Focal length Camera model Color space / Log profile
What kinds of VFX do you create?
Almost anything, including compositing, CGI integration, cleanup, screen replacement, object removal, tracking, rotoscoping, set extensions, 3D work, and advanced Houdini FX simulations such as fire, smoke, water, destruction, particles, and cloth.
Can you work with footage that hasn't been filmed yet?
Absolutely. In fact, this is often the best time to get in touch. I can advise on camera settings, tracking markers, lenses, lighting, and shooting methods that will make the VFX look significantly better.
What software do you use?
I work with professional industry standard software, including Houdini, Nuke, Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, ZBrush, 3D Equalizer and other tools depending on the project's requirements.
